Indonesian Student Association of Washington DC
About Us
Persatuan Mahasiswa Indonesia di Amerika Serikat, Washington DC (Permias DC)  is an official organization for Indonesian students who are pursuing higher education phase in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. This organization is established for coordinating relationship among Indonesian students, advocating them, and also conducting some events related to the spirit and the culture of Indonesia.
Activities
Campus Tour - George Mason University
In November 2021, Permias DC started its series of campus tours by visiting George Mason University. Located in Fairfax, Virginia, GMU was originally founded in 1949 and has since grown into the largest public university in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Commemoration of Hari Pahlawan
Permias DC attended a flag ceremony hosted by Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC to commemorate Hari Pahlawan.

Networking Event with IPA DC
In collaboration with Indonesian Professionals Association in Washington DC, Permias DC held its first networking event of the year at National Mall.
Soccer Get Together
Permias DC enjoyed a fun get together with a game of soccer. First of many other upcoming activities to be held.
"Angklung Mendunia" with Indonesian Embassy
Representatives of Permias DC participated in playing angklung, an Indonesian traditional musical instrument, at an event held by the Indonesian Embassy, "Angklung Mendunia". This event broke the world record of angklung being played simultaneously in 50 countries.
Guest Lecture by Indonesian Coordinating Minister of Maritime and Investment Affairs
Permias DC attended a guest lecture delivered by Gen. (Rtd.) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan at The Catholic University of America. He presented about Indonesia's role in Southeast Asia, how it has successfully handled the pandemic, and it's plan to build back the economy post pandemic, with emphasis on green economy.
Indonesian Diaspora in the DMV Area Gathering with Indonesian Finance Minister
Permias DC attended a gathering at Wisma Indonesia with Indonesian diaspora in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia to meet with H.E. Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
